Hallasan Rent A Car Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) considers that users have agreed to the collection and use of personal information when they use services such as membership registration, vehicle reservation, and customer inquiries after reviewing this Privacy Policy.

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company does not provide users’ personal information to third parties in principle.
However, exceptions may apply in the following cases:
- When the user has given prior consent
- When required by law
- When necessary for insurance claims or accident handling
If necessary, personal information may be provided to insurance companies, repair shops, towing companies, payment gateways (PG), or relevant authorities.
6. Destruction of Personal Information
The Company destroys personal information without delay once the retention period expires or the purpose of processing has been achieved.
7. User Rights
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information at any time.
8. Protection of Children’s Personal Information
The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14.
9. Notice Regarding Translations
The Company may provide translated versions of this Privacy Policy for the convenience of foreign customers.
In the event of any discrepancy between translated versions and the Korean version, the Korean version shall prevail.
10. Privacy Contact Information
This Privacy Policy may be updated in accordance with applicable laws and Company policies, and any changes will be announced on the website.
Rental Terms and Conditions
Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 (Application of Terms and Conditions)
① Hallasan Rent A Car Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) shall rent vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “Rental Vehicle”) to the renter in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and the renter shall lease the Rental Vehicle accordingly.
② The Company may establish special agreements within the scope not contrary to the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, applicable laws, and general business practices. In such cases, the special agreements shall take precedence.
Chapter 2 Rental Agreement
Article 2 (Reservation)
① A renter may make a reservation by specifying the vehicle type, rental start date and time, rental location, rental period, return location, driver information, and other rental conditions. The Company shall accept reservations within the scope of available vehicles.
② The Company may request a reservation deposit within a certain percentage of the estimated rental fee.
③ If the rental agreement is not concluded within one (1) hour after the reserved rental commencement time, the reservation shall be deemed automatically canceled.
④ Any changes to reservation details must receive prior approval from the Company.
Article 3 (Execution of Rental Agreement)
① The Company shall conclude a rental agreement unless no rental vehicle is available or the renter falls under any of the cases specified below.
② The renter shall provide driver information and rental conditions when applying for the rental agreement.
③ The Company may refuse to conclude a rental agreement in the following cases:
- If the renter does not possess a valid driver’s license
- If the renter is under twenty-one (21) years of age
- If identity verification is impossible or the renter refuses to provide requested documents
- If the renter is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- If the actual driver differs from the driver specified at the time of reservation
- If the renter has previously failed to pay rental fees
- If the renter has previously violated these Terms and Conditions
④ Foreign renters must present the following original documents at the time of vehicle pick-up:
- Passport
- Valid driver’s license issued by the renter’s home country
- A valid booklet-type International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by a government authority in the renter’s home country, or other driving qualification documents recognized by the Republic of Korea
⑤ The Company may refuse to conclude the rental agreement if the authenticity of the submitted documents cannot be verified or if the driver’s qualifications cannot be confirmed.
Article 4 (Formation of Rental Agreement)
① The rental agreement shall become effective when the Company receives the rental fee and delivers the Rental Vehicle to the renter.
② If the reserved vehicle cannot be provided due to accident, breakdown, or unavoidable circumstances, the Company may provide a substitute vehicle of a similar class.
Article 5 (Termination of Rental Agreement)
① The Company may immediately terminate the agreement and request the return of the vehicle in the following cases:
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Causing an accident due to the renter’s fault
- Falling under any disqualification stated in Article 3
② The renter may terminate the agreement if the vehicle becomes unusable due to defects existing before delivery.
Chapter 3 Rental Vehicles
Article 6 (Insurance Coverage)
The Company shall provide vehicles covered by mandatory liability insurance and comprehensive automobile insurance in accordance with applicable laws.
Article 7 (Vehicle Inspection and Delivery)
① Prior to vehicle delivery, the Company and renter shall jointly inspect the vehicle exterior, fuel level, and general vehicle condition.
② The renter shall confirm the vehicle condition upon pick-up and immediately notify the Company of any abnormalities.
Chapter 4 Responsibilities of the Renter
Article 8 (Duty of Care)
The renter shall use and maintain the Rental Vehicle with the duty of care of a prudent manager.
Article 9 (Prohibited Acts)
The renter shall not engage in any of the following acts during the rental period:
- Using the Rental Vehicle for illegal transportation or commercial purposes
- Subleasing the vehicle to a third party
- Modifying or altering the vehicle
- Using the vehicle for racing, testing, towing, or similar purposes without the Company’s consent
- Using the vehicle in violation of laws or public order
- Allowing any person not listed in the rental agreement to operate the vehicle
- Damaging the vehicle intentionally or through gross negligence
- Transporting the vehicle outside Jeju Island or loading the vehicle onto ferries or ships without prior approval from the Company
Chapter 5 Accidents and Insurance
Article 10 (Accident Procedures)
① In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately notify the Company.
② The renter shall cooperate with the Company and insurance company by submitting necessary documents and information related to the accident.
③ The renter shall not leave the accident scene or move or repair the vehicle without prior consultation with the Company.
④ If the renter delays reporting the accident or fails to cooperate with accident procedures, insurance coverage may be limited, and the renter may be held responsible for resulting damages.
Article 11 (Insurance and Liability Waiver)
① The renter shall be protected within the coverage limits of the insurance policies maintained by the Company.
② Insurance coverage may be limited or excluded in the following cases:
- Drunk driving
- Unlicensed driving
- Operation by a driver not listed in the rental agreement
- Intentional accidents
- Use of the vehicle for criminal purposes
- Use for racing or testing purposes
③ If vehicle damage occurs due to the renter’s fault, the renter shall be responsible for the deductible amount and loss-of-use compensation.
④ In the event of disputes related to accidents, vehicle damage, breach of contract, or unpaid charges, the renter agrees that the Company may submit rental agreements, vehicle photos, black box recordings, signature records, and payment records to insurance companies, payment providers, or relevant authorities.
Article 12 (Loss of Use Compensation)
If the Rental Vehicle requires repair due to the renter’s fault, the renter shall compensate the Company for loss of use during the repair period.
Chapter 6 Fees and Refunds
Article 13 (Rental Fees)
① Rental fees shall be based on the rates established by the Company.
② The renter shall bear additional charges for optional services or additional requests.
Article 14 (Reservation Cancellation and Refund)
① Reservations canceled more than twenty-four (24) hours before the rental start time shall receive a full refund.
② Reservations canceled within twenty-four (24) hours of the rental start time may be subject to cancellation charges.
③ Reservations made through OTA platforms or affiliated websites may be subject to the cancellation and refund policies of the respective platform.
Chapter 7 Vehicle Return
Article 15 (Vehicle Return)
① The renter shall return the vehicle at the agreed return time and location.
② Additional charges may apply for late returns.
③ Additional transportation or recovery costs may apply if the return location is changed.
Article 16 (Delayed Return and Failure to Return)
① If the renter fails to return the vehicle after the rental period or does not respond to the Company’s requests, the Company may take necessary legal action.
② If the renter exceeds the return time without prior notice or becomes unreachable, the Company may verify the vehicle location, notify relevant authorities, and take necessary measures.
Chapter 8 Miscellaneous
Article 17 (Collection and Use of Personal Information)
① The Company may collect and use the renter’s personal information for contract execution and identity verification purposes.
② The Company may provide personal information within the necessary scope for accident handling, insurance processing, or cooperation with relevant authorities.
Article 18 (Priority of Korean Version)
In the event of any discrepancy between the Korean version and translated versions of these Terms and Conditions, the Korean version shall prevail.
Article 19 (Jurisdiction)
Any disputes arising in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having authority over the location of the Company’s principal office.
